New Bedroom Decor!

It all started with the idea that I needed a new spring look for my bedroom! I found this bed set and it gave me the look I was searching for and really brighten up my bedroom-ooh la la!! And then one day another light bulb went off in my brain.... (yeah, I know-doesn't happen that often!) I have ALWAYS loved the Tree, from Thoughts and Payers-which is decor elements from Stampin' Up! It looks so awesome in my bedroom and filled up the wall space that was lacking for something! I am so pleased and just had to show it off! Enjoy!

This page was SO EASY to make! I used a page from the NIGHT AND DAY DSP - added the TOP NOTE SHAPE with a matted picture of Zoe - and finished it off with PEARLS - tons of them!!!!! And since it is digital - I don't have to worry about using up the whole pkg!!!!! A simple and easy project to make! Sympathy - Cracked Glass Technique

It is always a sad day when you need to send a sympathy card. I made this one a couple of years ago - I love the cracked glass technique. All you do is stamp your image then ink over it with versamark ink and emboss with glassy glaze embossing powder. Repeat two - three times and then set in the frezzer for a minute or two and when you take it out bend it slightly to get the the cracked glass look!

The Hostess Set - Cute by the Inch is a great set for making these inserts in the Simply Adorned 1"x1" Charms! All you need is the charm (and necklace OR bracelet) and then you can make as many of the charm inserts as your little heart desire's!!!!! One charm and endless possibilities! I embossed white on red for the love charm and added a small pearl. I embossed silver on black and added a rhinestone on the other insert (sorry, can't remember where I got the idea - but thanks!) The rhinestone looks like a eylet in the picture (hey - I never said I was a photographer!) I don't usually make cards this elaborate and with as many details - but guess I just had to give it a try today! I started with a WHISPER WHITE card base and used the FRAMED TUPLIPS Embossing Folder from the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG on SILVER METALLIC cardstock. I punched the hearts out using that RED GLIMMER PAPER that I am so in love with right now! Added pearls, bow, and a new item also in the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG - a KEY TRINKLET! Hope you like it! Adorable Milk Carton Treat Boxes!

Arent' these just too cute?!! I ran REALLY RED cardstock through the MILK CARTON DIE with my BIG SHOT and then embellished with the LOVE IMPRESSIONS DSP and the tag has a coordinating LOVE IMPRESSIONS RUB-ON. Of course, - I could not do another Valentine project without using that awesome RED GLIMMER PAPER!! I designed the holder using the same supplies. I do think it was a favorite of everyone who attended last week's BIG SHOT CLASS. And - my grandson's are making the milk carton's for the classmates on Valentine's Day!!

Another project from my BIG SHOT CLASS - we used the PETAL CONE DIE - SCALLOP CIRCLE DIE - 3 " CIRCLE DIE - HEARTS & BRACKETS DIE - SCRIBBLES SIZZLITS DIE. Don't you just love the new RED GLIMMER PAPER - AND THE LOVE IMPRESSIONS DSP?!! (these are from the Occasions Mini Catalog). We gathered and adhered the 5/8" ORGANZA RIBBON to the inside of the front heart - my grandsons want to make one of these for their teachers! Enjoy!

Paper Carnations

ISN'T THIS JUST GOREGOUS!!!!! And so easy to make! I used the SCALLOP CIRCLE DIE - AND BOTH OF MY SCALLOP CIRCLE PUNCHES with VERY VANILLA cardstock. Punch and cut 3 of each size. Start with the largest one and spritz it with water - wad it into a little ball and then gently unfold it. Mold it into the shape you desire. Do this with each piece and as you layer them - keep them folded together more. I used a small brad to hold the layers together. Let it dry completely before adhering it to your project! You could also "tip" the edges with ink and a sponge! A little time consuming - but well worth the effort and are simply beautiful in person!

Vintage Treat Box

I just love the new PETAL CONE DIE in the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG! It is super easy (as all dies are!) and fun to embellish! We made this little treat holder at my BIG SHOT CLASS last Sunday afternoon. You can't see it very well - but we also used a scallop die and the scallop punches to make the carnation on top - awesome! More pictures later of that! Moving right along - the heart was made with the SCALLOPED HEART OF HEART EMBOSSLITS DIE and we also used the PERFECT POLKA DOTS EMBOSSING FOLDER after cutting the petal one out. The main part of the box uses RIDING HOOD RED cardstock and embellished with LOVE LETTER DSP and VERY VANILLA TAFFETA RIBBON and of course don't forget those awesome PEARLS! Check back later to see other projects using this die!

I found this picture of my sisters and I and immediately decided it would be used on the Christmas Card I made for them this year! I just love the way it came out and my daughter told me it was the best card I have ever made! Both of my sister's really liked it also - hope you enjoy taking a look!

Isn't this box just adorable! My grandsons, Zane and Zeek made these boxes for their teachers - we also made Cinnamon Hard Candy for a inside treat! Quick and easy - think I will make a couple more... let's see... the mailman - newspaper boy - Oh and not to forget the UPS guy!! This is another project we made at my "It's a Wrap" Class. Isn't this mini file folder just too cute? I purchased the template from http://www.papertrey.com/ - guess I should have taken a better picture of the monogram cards we made - they are goregous! We embossed the card front with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and our Big Shot. I printed the monograms from "My Digital Studio" using the Broadsheet Alphabet. Everyone got to choose one of the in colors to embellish their project. It was a great hit!

I know - it is about time! I have been sick and just plain dragged down lately! Anyway, as promised, here is one of the projects from my "It's a Wrap" Class. I just love my "Big Shot" and making these cupcakes were super easy and fun! They are just the right size to hold a little treat inside. I used the "Perfect Setting" die for the wrap and gathered our large 1 1/4' Striped Grosgrain Ribbon together and adhered on top of a punched piece of red cardstock (used my 2 1/2" punch) topped it off with the flower and rhinestone brad for a cover. This die is perfect for wrapping real cupcakes to decorate for a special occasion!

Paper Rose

This is one of the cards we made at my Ornament Punch Class on Sunday afternoon - by far the favorite of everyone! Isn't this paper rose just awesomely beautiful!! We punched 25 petals from the ornament punch and curled them with a pencil - then just layered them onto a circle punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch. Added some leaves that were also punched out with the ornament punch. I can't wait to find the time to make more!!

I just love this idea! Of course, you can buy tin to make this project - but why not use something you have already? Pop cans!! Can them in half... I used my "FLOWER FOLDS" die and ran 1/2 of the can thru my "BIG SHOT" added a tealight candle and there you go folks a tea-light holder!!!!! I wish I could take credit for this idea - however, I have seen several on other blogs! This is one of the project we did today at my "NEW CATALOG OPEN HOUSE"!

I have been so busy all week and could hardly wait for the weekend so I could create something! I LOVE this new 2-step Owl punch from the new SU Catalog! I needed a birthday card for my nephew's surprise party today and I am so happy with this card!

The inside is just as stinkin' cute!

The card base is done with a new IN-COLOR: POPPY PARADE. I used EARLY ESPRESSO for the base of the owl and my absolute favorite GREENHOUSE GALA DSP for accent! The branches are another new IN-COLOR: PEAR PIZZAZZ and I used the 2-step XL Bird punch. I popped the eyes out with dimensionals and of course added the owl to the card with dimensionals (they are a favorite of mine for adding dept!) I typed the 30 and 3 perfect 10's on my computer and used my 1 3/4" XL CIRCLE PUNCH. The small star punch's are IN-COLORS: PEAR PIZZAZZ AND PEACH PARFAIT with a new CORE COLOR: DAFFODIL DELIGHT. The greeting is stamped with EARLY ESPRESSO from the ON YOUR BIRTHDAY stamp set.

This card was fun to make with the following punches: word window punch- 1 3/8" square punch, circle scallop punch, 1 1/4" circle punch - small star punch. I cut strips of night of navy and real red cardstock and adhered them to a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock - then used my square punch to make the hat. This is also a MOJO MONDAY SKETCH #143.

Love this MONEY HOLDER CARD! Don't remember where I found the directions - but thanks to the person who created this card! I am going to miss BRILLANT BLUE as it is the school color that best matches my children and grandchildren's school! I used white taffeta ribbon for the trim...

I had stamped several of the "G" stamps some years ago (yes, this is a retired stamp set!) - just used my large circle punch and layered it over the back side of the silver brad with dimensionals. I used the scallop oval punch to show off the money and a current stamp set- TEENY TINI WISHES with my word window punch.

Found this idea somewhere and loved it! The flower vase is made with our "Ornamental Punch"! I just love all those creative minds in our world!! I used the "Scallop Trim Border Punch" (ASK ME HOW TO GET THIS PUNCH FOR FREE!!) for the lace in chocolate and white and then the "Pinking Hearts Border Punch" again in white. The greeting is from "Well Scripted" in the Occasions Mini Catalog and punched out with the "Oval Scallop Punch" The background designer paper is from the "Welcome Neighbor" pack (ASK ME HOW TO GET THIS DSP FOR FREE!!) and the flowers are from "Eastern Blooms" DON'T FORGET TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF SALE-A-BRATION!

Mojo Monday #131

I loved this week's Mojo Monday Sketch! This card was so much fun to make and don't mean to brag (well, maybe a little!) but I think it turned out beautiful! I used whisper white for my card base and layered it with soft suede dsp on a soft suede mat. I used certainly celery organdy ribbon (sorry-retired!) and soft suede ribbon. I embossed scraps of bermuda bay, cameo coral, and certainly celery cardstock with the petals of plenty folder and then punched them with my butterfly punch. Stamps are from Inspired by Nature and the grass is stamped with certainly celery and the greeting with soft suede. I used the oval scallop punch to punch out my greeting and layered with bermuda bay and the wide oval punch. That's also the wide oval punch on the sides with cameo coral and certainly celery. Added elegance with my pretties kit and the half pearls - pearls are back and very popular right now! Below is the sketch design from Mojo Monday. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

I used Real Red for my card base - then added a layer of Pretty in Pink and Very Vanilla. They DSP is Sending Love and I used Real Red Epoxy Brads and silver brads. The pink gingham is retired - but I love gingham! The verse is from Well Scripted stamp set (FREE DURING SAB!!!!!) and most other products are in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I used the retired Wild Wasabi green for my card base and added a layer of Only Orange. I stamped my images with Wild Wasabi and used my 1 3/8" Square Punch to punch them out and then punched each corner with the Corner Ticket Punch for an interesting effect. Added some striped Wild Wasabi ribbon and stamped my greeting for a tone on tone look. HAVE A HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

This was fun to make with the "Top Note Die" and my "Big Shot" Super easy too! Just cut designer paper with your toe note die - fold the top down, add some ribbon for a handle and you have a purse! I am making several of these for thank you cards to my hostess when they host a MICHE BAG party! Haven't heard about MICHE BAGS? MOJO MONDAY-#129

IT'S MOJO MODAY TIME! - and I am just under this week's deadline! I had a friend who lost a dog this week, so made this card for her. The card base is "Soft Suede" one of this year's "In Colors" from SU. I layered sahara sand over that and the designer paper is also soft suede. I stamped the dog with soft suede and layer it with soft suede, old olive, and pumpkin pie. Then stamped the paw with soft suede and used my 3/4" circle punch and 1" circle punch to layer it onto the ribbon.

I love stamping messages and using a punch to adhere to the inside on dark colored cardstock! This is the "Curly Label Punch"

The chick in the broken egg comes from the stamp set "A Good Egg" I made these in several colors when it was first released a couple of years ago. Love the tafetta ribbon! I stamped the image twice: once on regular cardstock and then again on the designer paper. I cut the egg out of the designer paper and adhered it to the egg with the chick - then punched the image out with my Scallop Circle Punch - fun, fun!!

Love this stamp set! Always - this bird is one of the main attractions - but there also a heart that is really cool! I call the design on the bird a "Mod Vintage"!! The "Kiwi" green is from last years "in color" line. I used my scallop border punch and punched once to make a slot to insert the strip of cardstock with the message. This is easy to duplicate - all you have to do is choose your own color! Let me see what you come up with.....

This is one of my favorite "in color" greens that SU has ever released and I miss it! It is called River Rock - the name is even awesome! I think this card jumped out at me because it has been a long time since I have spent time with my friends! work, work, work.....

Just love this card! It is another one I made a couple of years ago for a team swap. The stamp set is now retired - but it sure was fun to work with and the greeting was nice to have. It uses barely bananna for the the large mat on very vanilla cardstock and certainly celery for the large half oval. I stamped the frame with certainly celery and used markers to ink the flowers. Did some paper piercing around the flowers - too much fun! And there is some more gingham ribbon (remember, I love gingham!)

This has always been a favorite card of mine! Why? For one, the flower reminds me of sunflowers (my fav!) two, it is simple and clean, and three, I love gingham! Doesn't it just make you want to smile?!! This set is from SU and retired (boo-hoo!)
