More Scrapbooking!

Okay - what is black, silver and tan - loves me more than anything - full of pee and vinegar - always ready for a walk - and almost just as adorable as my grandchildren????? Zoe (my yorkie) of course!!! As Zeek, my youngest grandson, puts it: "It's all about Zoe - isn't it Grandma Jo!" Now, how do you answer that? Zoe is a great companion and I love her to death! She was born on Valentines Day in 2007 and came to live with me in May 2007. This is a picture of the day I brought her home, using one of our chipboard frames (which I covered with designer paper) chipboard letters (inked with craft ink) felt fowers, rhinestone brad, striped ribbon and summer picnic designer paper. Notice the word I stamped in the top right hand corner? adorable!

Scrapbooking!

I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT!! My grand daughter, Keely, has been begging me to get a new picture of her up for quite some time now! I have a wall in my living room that I display framed 12x12 scrapbook pages of all my grandchildren's school pictures. Of course, with 6 grandchildren - I am behind! AND, it's about time for those new pictures - so thought I better just get 'er done!! Text under the butterflies read: 1. Social Butterfly 2. Beautiful Young Lady 3. Flies to the beat of her own wings. I love it when Keely visits - she is so very delightful and fun! (as are all of my grandchildren!)

RMC Charities

Oh my - does the time ever past by ever so quickly!! It has been a few days since my last post - so here you are! I made this card for my stampin' group of demo's to send for their accomplishments. I just love these square cards and of course the clear envelopes! The stamp set I used is from the current Fall/Winter Catalog - "Say it With Scallops" and when you purchase this stamp set, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 to the Ronald McDonald Charities! How cool is that?! I used robin hood red for the card base, bella rose dsp with the scallop border punch, stamped congrats with pacific blue and mounted on pacific blue, the small stars are kiwi kiss. Red has always been my favorite color until....................................

all these yummy "greens" have surfaced the past couple of years! I did not think I could ever let go of last years "in color" river rock - but this years kiwi kiss is moving right up there on my list! To make the circle around the star: I first punch a circle with my 1 1/4: circle punch and then using my 1 3/8" circle punch - punched around the hole in my cardstock to make a rim. Isn't this just too cute for an embellishment?!! I did receive a lot of positive feedback from my gals! check back soon - I have almost finished my "CLASS BY MAIL" design for September - using this set of course!!

Another Punch Tutorial!

I stamped up a storm this past weekend! First, my group of SU Demo's came Saturday for a shoebox swap - potluck lunch, etc. We call this event: STAMP-N-CHAT and that is exactly what we did!! The cards everyone made are so awesome and were loads of fun to make! The first person arrived at 9:30am and the last person left at 7:30pm! I took it easy on Sunday, played with my yorkie some (I think she has been feeling neglected!) and worked on the following punch tutorial:

Circle & Oval Scallop Frame Tutorial:

Step #1: I used my NEW 1 3/4" circle punch to punch a hole in the center of a 3"x3" piece of kiwi kiss cardstock.

Step #2: I then used my slit punch (after taking the guard off!) and inserted the slit punch in the center of the hole, to punch at 12 o'clock - 6 o'clock - 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock.

Step #3: Again, using my slit punch - I punched again (twice between each of the above)

I used the above frame to make this card:

I had trouble getting a good scan - the card base is So Saffron, the frame is kiwi kiss, mounted on whisper white, black, and tangerine tango. I added dazzling diamonds glitter and of course a rhinestone brad on the cherry!

Okay - if you place your slit punch on the inside edge of the circle, it will pop out and you will have this:

SO - I used those pieces to make the following two cards:
And - I may I just say: I love this color combo: pink pirouette, riding hood red, kiwi kiss, and chocolate chip!

Did I stop there? Of course not! I just had to try my NEW WIDE OVAL PUNCH!! And I made this card:

Enjoy!!

Halloween Treat Bags

You can't see Frankinstein's face real well - but I think you get the idea! I used NEW IN COLOR's: Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango - stamps are "Batty for You"-yum, yum!

OH - DON'T FORGET: Tomorrow (well, I guess it is now tomorrow!) is the LAST DAY OF MY 20% discount offer when you purchase THE "BIG SHOT"!!
