TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER THE HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA BUNDLES AND SAVE 20-50% ON SELECTED ITEMS!

JOCIEL'S SPECIAL OFFERS:
  • THE BIG SHOT - 20% OFF UNTIL DEC. 7th.
  • COUNTRY LIVING HOLIDAY KIT - 20% OFF UNTIL DEC. 7TH.

Another use of my Country Living Holiday Collection Kit! This stocking can be used as a Gift Card Holder AND a Tree Ornament! I used Whisper White Vellum Cardstock for my stocking and stamped the large and small snowflakes with White Craft ink. Be sure to let that dry well (I was in a hurry and used my heat tool!) While this was drying, I also stamped my enjoy with Riding Hood Red ink on a piece of scrap vellum cardstock - so it could dry as well! When the red was dry, I used a Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink and stamp my to and from - then set it aside to dry. (NOTE: Vellum is not as porous as regular cardstock and therefore even your classic ink pads take time to dry once stamped.) I cut a piece of the Ski Slope DSP and used my Scallop Border Punch on the bottom for the top of my stocking. I stamped the greeting with black and used the Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon at the top. After the ink dried on my stocking, I used my Crafter's Tool Kit -to pierce holes around the stocking and my needle with Silver Cord to lace the stocking together, then adhered the top to the stocking. I used my 1 3/4" Circle Punch and punched out "enjoy", then inserted a Clear Rhinestone Brad in the center of the "o". I then adhered that to the heel of the stocking with a Dimensional. I used the piercing tool to make a hole in the top right of my stocking and Silver Cord to make a hanger for the stocking.
EVERYTHING USED IN THIS PROJECT CAME FROM THE COUNTRY LIVING HOLIDAY COLLECTION STAMPIN' KIT except for: Crafter's Tool Kit - 1 3/4" Circle Punch - Scallop Border Punch and the Whisper White Vellum Cardstock, and black ink.

Day 3 of Holiday Stampin'

  • COUNTRY LIVING HOLIDAY COLLECTION KIT - 20% OFF UNTIL DEC 7th.

Sunday afternoons are great for stampin' don't you agree? It is not too late to make some Christmas Cards and the COUNTRY LIVING HOLIDAY COLLECTION KIT is great for this too! I made this card using that kit. I started with a card base of Old Olive cardstock, and a mat of Whisper White cardstock- the 1" strip on the top is from the Ski Slope DSP (also included in the kit). I used my Scallop Edge Border Punch on the bottom of this strip. I stamped my snowflake, enjoy, and star (from the kit) with my White Craft ink spot and then embossed with white embossing powder on scraps of Pacific Blue, Riding Hood Red, and Summer Sun cardstock. I then used my 1 3/4" Circle Punch to make my ornaments.
I applied Dazzling Diamonds Glitter around the edge of my ornaments with Liquid Glue and used the silver cord to make the ornament hangers. I dressed the ornaments up with the Clear Rhinestone Brads.

The only things I used that were not from the kit: Scallop Border Punch- 1 3/4" Circle Punch and the cardstock to make the card - EVERYTHING ELSE CAME FROM THE KIT!

Day 2 of Holiday Stampin'!

Yesterday was a shopping day - so is today the day to decorate your tree? If so, you are going to love making this beautiful ornament to hang or your tree OR give as a gift! I took a regular glass bulb purchased from a craft store and added some fake snow inside. I then took some Flashing Tape and ran that thru my Big Shot with the Cheer Decorate Strip Die. (NOTE: Be sure to lay the silver side of the tape face down on your die!)

I then cut apart the words and removed the backing and adhered this to the OUTSIDE of my bulb.

Next, I stamped my dove image on some acetate with BLACK STAZ-ON ink and after the ink was dry, I used my COLUZZLE to cut a circle.

I then smooshed my stamped image (face up) in my VERSAMARK ink pad and covered it completely on the back side. I added IRIDESCENT ICE embossing powder and heated (carefully!) with my heat tool. I layed this on a piece of color cardstock so that you could see how it looked.

I then punched a hole in the top of the acetate circle with my 1/16" Punch and inserted SILVER CORD. Added the cap back to the bulb and silver organdy ribbon tied in a bow. Awesome - don't you think?

MY SPECIAL OFFER (forgot to post this last night!) starting Friday, Nov. 28th. and good through Sunday, December 7th. THE BIG SHOT AND ALL DIES - 20% OFF - WHEN ORDERED DIRECTLY THROUGH ME (sorry-online orders do not qualify for this special) DON'T WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON YOURSELF RIGHT NOW? Technique Tuesday

I am going to show you - step by step - just how easy card making can be with RUB-ONS!

Shown here are the supplies I used to make my card: 1. Card base is Pink Pirouette CS 2. I cut a mat of Old Olive CS 4"x 3 5/8" 3. I cut a 1 3/4"x 1 3/4" square of Riding Hood Red 4. I used my 1 3/8" Square Punch to make the Pink Pirouette piece. 5. I cut 3 strips 1" x 4" out of the Holiday Treasures DSP 6. I used approx. 9" of Riding Hood Red Tafetta Ribbon 7. one Earth Elements Button 8. Chocolate Chip Flower from Hidden Garden Rub-Ons (pg. 178)

STEP #1: I layered the 3 strips of Holiday Treasures DSP onto my mat of Old Olive CS.

STEP #2: I then placed this mat onto my Pink Pirouette Card Base.

STEP #3: I cut about 3" of my ribbon off the 9" piece. Place the longest strip across my card and placed the smallest piece under that.

STEP #4: I then tied the smallest piece of ribbon in a knot to form a bow.

STEP #5: I trimmed the excess paper off the flower and removed the backing.

STEP #6: I then placed the flower on the square of Pink Pirouette cs and used my stick to rub it on.

STEP #7: I then place the button in the center of the flower and adhere this piece to my square of Riding Hood Red cs.

FINISHED CARD: I then mounted my Rub-on image to my card-and stamped my greeting!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #67

I love the way this card turned out! Sorry about the blur on the Read Red DSP - couldn't seem to figure that one out! Anyway, I did this card for two challenges: Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge and Splitcoaststampers Tuesday Color Challenge (Kraft-Black-Red). My card base is done with Kraft CS, then a layer of Black CS, in which I used my Ticket Corner Punch on all four corners (I know, I just can't seem to get away from this punch!) I matted Real Red DSP onto Real Red CS. I stamped my image onto Kraft CS and layered it on Black CS (and again used that Ticket Corner Punch!) I water-colored my image and used my White Gel Pen to color the sheep. I added small white pearls from my Pretties Kit on the top corners of my stamped image and Black Gingham Ribbon to my Verse, which was stamped with Black ink on Kraft CS and layered onto Real Red CS. Enjoy!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #66

This card is made with the Pick A Petal stamp set and you won't believe all the awesome things you can do with it! I am guessing you may see more of this set soon! This was last weekend's Beate Sketch Challenge - so guess what? I am now caught up! Just have to work on this weekend's challenge! Okay - so I started with Gable Green for my card base and added a mat of Glorious Green. I stamped the image with Green Galore and used my Ticket Corner Punch then layered it onto a Green Galore mat. The words are stamped with Real Red and are from the Smarty Pants stamp set. I used Real Red DSP for the strip on my large mat and Real Red Brads for the accessories. I have seen this exclamation point used on many thank you cards! Hope you like this concept!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #65

This is really out of the box for me! Not sure if I really like the card (maybe it is too dark?) Anyway, I love this set and have been wanting to create with it for a few days now. This is Beate's WSC #65. The stamps I used are from ALWAYS stamp set. The card base is Not Quite Navy. The corner scallop is done with the BIG SHOT die and Not Quite Navy DSP. I stamped the Bird and leaves with Not Quite Navy ink onto Bashful Blue CS. I layered this onto a strip done with my Scallop Border Punch in Not Quite Navy and added a small strip of Going Gray just above the border. I layered this onto a panel of Kiwi Kiss and attached a Gray Taffeta Bow. One more sketch to do and I will finally be caught up! Thanks for looking!

Weekend Sketch challenge #64

This is Beate's WSC #64 (only two more to catch up!) Another design from my Punch Class - I started with a cardbase of Ivory Naturals CS and my panel is in Real Red CS I used my Big Shot to cut the reindeer ears. The reindeer face is made iwth the Designer Label Punch and the ears are done with the 5 Flower Punch, both with Creamy Carmel CS. I used the 1/4" Circle Punch for the nose and added eyes. I added the Real Red Striped Ribbon and finished the red panel with my Scallop Border Punch and Chocolate Chip CS- enjoy!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #63

Sorry - I am so far behind in my posting! I just love doing Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenges (even if it is the middle of the week when I get to them!) Anyway - let's see if I can get caught up - I am behind about 4 weeks I do believe (ugh!) So, here is the card I made for WSC#63. These challenges always seem to fit right in with my PUNCH CLASS! I started with a base of Kraft CS. A square of the More Mustard DSP, a strip of Chocolate Chip CS, and a bit of Carmel Gingham Ribbon. The layer behind the turkey is made using my BIG SHOT small scallop die and Kraft DSP. The turkey is done with the Scallop Circle Punch and pieces of Old Olive, Ruby Red, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip CS. The feet were made using my Boho Flower Punch - enjoy!

Scrapbooking-Progressive November Page

I have been scrapbooking this week - It is good therapy, as I am sure you all know!

This is a 6x6 page and the start of a Progressive Page (start with a 6x6, then add to 8 1/2x 11, then add to 12x12) I used my Scallop Circle Die with my BIG SHOT to make the turkey. The pictures are those of my youngest grandchild. I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a Chocolate Chip layer. The "Filmstrip Technique" is done using Creamy Carmel and the Spiral Punch. I used Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Ruby Red, and Old Olive to make the turkey. I stamped Happy Thanksgiving with Chocolate Chip and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. I then tied a bit of Carmel Gingham Ribbon around the edge of my "filmstrip".

And now add this to a 8 1/2x11 piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock. I added more Chocolate Chip Scallop Circle Dies (saving one for my journaling, in which I have a bad habit of putting off!) I also used strips of Ghostly Greetings DSP at the bottom.

And, now we add this page to a Chocolate Chip 12x12 base and I used the Ghostly Greetings DSP with the "filmstrip technique" again and layer Chocolate Chip squares of cardstock for my photo mats.

Now, off to complete the 2nd page of this layout (and my journaling of course!!)

I'm Finally Back...

It has been way to long since I have posted anything. I just have not been in a stampin' mood, as my mother passed away on October 20, 2008. It was totally unexpected and is still quite a shock. However, this too shall pass, and I am trying hard to get on with the duties of everyday life. It sure has helped to have some warm fall days, sunshine and such great friends. THANK YOU! With that said, here is a card that I made some time ago, got the instructions from a great group that I belong to. I highly recommend this group to you - "TECHNIQUE JUNKIES". Pat Huntoon is the owner and offers you a subscription to a bi-montly newsletter (fantastic!) along with cd's that have technique tutorials. This is called : The Bandanna Technique. I used Eastern Blooms stamp set by SU - Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Robin Hood Red, Classic Black ink pads - Kiwi Kiss, Black, Whisper White Cardstock and a white gel pen. Enjoy the card and have a wonderful day!
